New jazz on the build

Had a nicely capped lightweight jazz body for years that needed some final shaping, finally got around to it.  Going to use the dark red that I used on the Esquire and hope the grain comes through.  Stained it tonight and if I can be patient and deliberate it should look great when done.  Don't need another jazz bass really but I do need a project!  Will have to make a trip to Walmart for the lacquer.  It's the only place that sells the minwax nitro that I like. An ebony neck would be great, might have to start looking around for one on ebay.
