High speed rush through June. E i graduating next week, two ceremonies one for the master's hooding and then the general UW graduation for Tacoma campus. I'm looking forward to the hooding, the Tacoma Dome is a little overwhelming to think about. Last night when E got home from her last class of her program the four of us danced around the lifving room. then Ruthie spun in to the console and hit her head (sounded like she cracked her skull) so we delayed for a few minutes and then she was fine. The girls were all sweaty for bed time!
It's also a rush to the finish at work with the end of the year upon us, there's a two week stretch of finishing everything up for this year and gearing up everything for next year and it all has to happen at the same time. Next week will be totally nuts and then July we ramp up again for summer fundraising. But for me it should be smoother and once students leave the campus will be quiet.
Much noise being made about Israel's attack on the supply ship and calls for Evergreen divestment in Israel, which is a tall order although I do think there is an opportunity to get student involvement in what our investment policies are and at least work towards a statement of principle that incorporates progressive values.
